Birds Nature Art is the married MULTIMEDIA ART team of Michael & Kelly Bird.
Our approach of creating art is similar to how we approach nature, bravely exploring the unknown, and finding comfort when a known familiarity is developed. We employ a wide range of techniques and mediums when creating art, which gives us the ability to expand our creative horizons as well as engaging with the audience and other artists “naturally”.
Our “Faces of Nature” series began as personal projects, created from the natural materials that we gathered from the many areas that we visit from the Mississippi River to the enchanting landscape of the Southwest. Discovering inspiring objects and landscapes motivated us to create pieces of art that pay tribute to the many faces of nature. We hope to inspire the viewer to pause and think about the vastness, beauty and possibilities that nature provides, as well as to realize the importance of balance, and the interconnections of all living things. By dedicating years of using a wide range of natural materials; learning the durability, methods of non-chemical sterilization and preservation techniques, core materials and methods have been developed, while also continuing to grow and learn. The natural materials we use are sustainable, renewable, and can be acquired without destroying or negatively altering the environment where they are found.
